BURN IT
Our BURN IT class is for those who want to BURN IT -- FAT. If you are interested in oxidizing fat, a.k.a burning fat, then this class, a few times a week, is for you. The workouts are tailored to have you in the fat burning zone for at least 35+ minutes.
Your fat burning zone is when your heart beats about 70% of your max heart rate. When you first join Texas Athletics Club, we will work with you on finding your heart rate zones so you will know where you need to be to BURN IT.
**We encourage our members to have their own devices such as a wrist watch that monitors heart rate. If needed, members can join our WHOOP program for a discounted rate and receive a complimentary device that tracks heart rate.
TX STRONG
TX STRONG is our strength training class that focuses solely on weight/resistance training. It is known that the average adult between the ages of 18-64 benefit from strength training a minimum of 2 times per week. This class has a long warm up and then takes you through an authentic lifting series to ensure that you have plenty of time to lift in a safe and effective way. There will be a coach to help ensure form and safety are followed above all else. Get stronger with us today!

CrossFIT (HIIT Training)
Texas Athletics Club is the home of Paper Street CrossFit. We are a true CrossFit affiliate and have been for 7 years. To learn more about Paper Street click here.
Our CrossFit programming is designed to enhance daily functional movements and improve performance over 10 different fitness domains: cardio-respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy.
Daily classes offer a constantly varied combination of Olympic Lifting, Powerlifting, Gymnastics, Plyometrics, Running, Rowing, and body-weight movements to ensure our athletes are always challenged and entertained. CrossFit classes are 1 hour in length featuring a group warm up, strength/technique section, and WOD (workout of the day).
If you are new to CrossFit and/or prefer more of a bootcamp style workout, this class is for you as well. Anyone that has NOT completed Fundamentals will be directed to use Kettlebells, Dumbbells, and other modifications to make sure you get a great workout at your level of comfort and fitness. All workouts may be modified or scaled to all fitness levels. It doesn’t matter if you have never tried it, the beauty of a CrossFit class is that it can be modified so that individuals of all walks of life can complete the same workout. Your coach will work with you to adjust equipment, reps, distance, to your exact needs.
Requirements:
– Completion of our Fundamental Program is required. Read more below.

– Head Coach approval upon completion of our Movement Standard Test.
FUNDAMENTALS
If you are brand new to CrossFit, and want to use the olympic barbells, we want to ensure your introduction is both fun and safe. We require all athletes new to CrossFit and who want to use the Olympic barbells to start with a Fundamental Membership. This includes a 2 week fundamentals course to learn the necessary skills and movement patterns used in our programming. The course starts periodically throughout the month. Fundamental athletes are required to attend a 2 week course, which includes 4 classes for 90 minutes. Upon completion of fundamentals, new athletes will be able to use the bar during main workouts with added weight approved by the class coach. We encourage all fundamental athletes to attend CrossFIT, BURN IT, TX STRONG and Yoga to get a feel of what our community is about!
YOGA
Yoga is a phenomenal compliment to any fitness regime. It allows the opportunity to build core, work on core stabilization, flexibility and stretch your tired muscles. Our yoga instructors are RYT certified and come with over 200 hours of instructor experience and additional hours of instruction at yoga studios.
Yoga is scheduled every Thursday at 5:15 for a 1 hour session and Saturday 9:45AM for a 1 hour session. Please feel free to drop in and get your stretch on and see if we are the right fit for you!
PERSONAL TRAINING
Texas Athletics Club understands that individuals can always benefit from one on one or a smaller group environment. We will work with individuals up to a group of 5 on a regular basis. We believe that training needs and schedules vary by athlete. Therefore, we offer individual sessions based on our coaches’ availability and the athlete’s availability. Programming for individual sessions will be developed based on goals set with each athlete.
